Terms of Service

1. What this covers

These terms apply to the Backstage Cut panel for Adobe Premiere Pro and the hosted service it talks to, both operated by Bitfumes Labs. Installing the panel or signing in means you accept them.

2. This is beta software

Backstage Cut is in beta. Expect bugs, failed renders, and changes between releases — panels get reorganised, settings get renamed, and cached transcripts or presets may need regenerating after an update. The service is provided as-is, without warranty. Keep your own backups and keep using the review step every feature shows you before it writes to your timeline.

3. Your work is yours

You own your footage, your transcripts, and everything Backstage Cut produces from them. We claim no licence over your projects or your output, and we do not use your audio or transcripts to train models.

Every edit the panel makes is ordinary Premiere clips, keyframes, and cuts. If you stop paying or uninstall the panel, what is already on your timeline stays exactly as it is.

4. Plans and minutes

• The free tier includes 30 minutes of transcription with every AI feature unlocked, granted once per account.
• The Pro plan is $5 per month and includes 300 minutes per rolling 30-day window. Minutes do not carry over.
• $5 is a beta rate. It will rise when the product leaves beta; a subscription that stays continuously active keeps the rate it started on.
• When the included minutes are spent, cloud features stop until the window rolls. Local features and everything already on your timeline are unaffected.
• Accounts are for one person. Sharing credentials so several editors draw on one allowance is what the metering exists to prevent.

5. Billing and cancellation

Subscriptions renew monthly until cancelled. Cancel from the billing portal at any time and you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. There is no contract and no cancellation call. Charges already taken for a completed period are not refunded; write to us if something has clearly gone wrong and we will sort it out.

6. Acceptable use

Do not use the service to process content you have no right to process, to break the law where you are, or to attack, overload, or reverse the hosted service. We may suspend an account that does, and we will tell you why.

7. Availability and changes

No uptime is guaranteed during beta. Features may change or be withdrawn. If we change these terms in a way that materially affects a paying subscriber, we will say so by email before it takes effect.

8. Liability

To the extent the law allows, Bitfumes Labs is not liable for lost work, lost revenue, or indirect damages arising from use of the panel or the service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
